Hello everyone, I'm probably another one of those lurkers that you read about. We're currently living in Southern New Hampshire near the seacoast in suburbia. Our dream is to get out of the race altogether. Pretty difficult when you have only the one income and ongoing health care issues in the family. Hopefully not impossible though. We've been looking for a smallholding in New Hampshire but so far haven't had much luck. Boy this going back to nature business is expensive if you don't have a trust fund or IPO profits

Anyway hope to be able to add to the discussion and hope to learn lots.

Peace

Jeff

Hi McLeod, yes it can be expensive - even when it is cheap. I just bought another acre or so of 'cheap' land so I am in the hole financially for a while but I do like the freedom of wandering around on my own dirt. Good to have you at permies!

Life just hasn't been the same since the volcano erupted and now the air is full of tiny ads.
