one thing that has done well in my new garden...potatoes! I am reassured that such a great calorie crop seems to like the conditions. I am going to try leaving them in the ground and taking them as i need them....at least until it gets wet.

I had almost zero problems with insect pests! I suppose that realistically that is probably because no one has grown potatoes here before

my tater plants are huge and in flower..but I haven't sneaked a peek yet as i still have some in the house to use up.

its amazing the difference just a few thousand miles makes! my plants are all dead and brown. lots of taters under there though!

yes it always surprises me what is going on in other areas of the country..i went for a walk at 8:30 this morning and it was 50 degrees out...and nearly foggy.

My potatoes won't turn brown and die for a very long time yet.
