Hi Ben,

Great to have someone with a broad, practical skillset sharing on Permies!

It appears that some of your consulting work has been for clients who wish to develop resilient properties for multiple purposes (real estate appreciation, SHTF safe-farms, etc, etc)

I'm working everyday to create more permaculture practitioners earning healthy incomes as 'land developers' in the sense of adding resilient value, not vinyl-sided subdivions.

Do you see increasing volume of buyers willing to pay for pre-developed properties in perennial polyculture, restoration ag systems?

Personally in dealing with any real estate I have found that people seem most interested in property that has some source of water, such as a creek or pond, and some sources of greenspaces other than just lawns and foundation planting. It seems to me that establishing some fruit and nut trees and perennials that are lower maintenance attract more buyers than things that people have to work hard on maintaining.

Hi Grant,
I am not sure I see an increase in pre-developed sites but I don't come across those, really. Def. an interest increasing in self reliance in general and healthy food and lifestyle.
