Wouldn't want to tinker with Paul's site but I think "The Resilient Farm and Homestead" is by Ben Falk not Grant Shultz. Either way - it's a great read.

Hi Jeff:

Thanks for that catch. The table is a bit misleading. When Grant Schultz was on Permies a couple of weeks ago doing a book promo, the book he was promoting was indeed Ben Falk's "Resilient Farm and Homestead". Why? Because he and Ben work together and he (Grant) was also promoting a workshop that they were doing together. So, you are right. The table heading of "author" doesn't quite hold true in this case.

And...we will have another similar case this week as Zach Weiss is promoting Sepp Holzer's book and a workshop based on Sepp's methodology. Zach is not the author of Desert or Paradise.

These started off as straight "book promos", however, as they've gained momentum and people have come to see the value of doing these promos on Permies.com, there have been opportunities to expand the promos to include workshops. Down the line, there may be other goodies as well.

Thanks for bringing this up. Maybe I should change the heading to Author or Presenter to save on further confusion.

Jen

OK - I've updated the first two column headings to more closely match the contents of the table thanks to the input from Jeff Bartol. I hope this helps clarify things. If anyone else has suggestions, please respond below.

I've also rearranged the listings in reverse order (most recent past promo at the top) at Paul's request. It does make more sense that way.

Jennifer, I'm sorry -- I did not mean to criticize the job you do or the information conveyed. Thank YOU for coordinating this and all other permies related info. My intent was only to clarify this discrepancy for other newbie-permies (like myself).

Hey Jeff: I didn't see it as criticism AT ALL! Rather you were pointing out how the table was confusing to folks - something that I was blind to as it made sense when I originally created the table. I truly do appreciate you calling this to my attention.

So rock on and I hope others will also feel free to point out things that could use some improvement.

I knew that guy would be trouble! Thanks tiny ad!
