Is it best to come into a course like this with experience and knowledge of your land? We just bought a farm (closing march 21) and am weighing taking such a course now versus taking it after I've had a couple of seasons to get acquainted with the land. Any advice would be helpful, thank you!

I always advocate early education over too-late education. This workshop is perfect for you in this stage of land-ownership. You have the chance to learn exactly what to be looking for (observing), where, when, why, and how. Also learn which plants to get in the ground right away, and which ones can wait (most people make major mistakes here).

I was in Ben's last PDC back in September, if any folks are thinking about going to this Iowa workshop.. DO IT! Ben is an excellent teacher and a wealth of knowledge.. if your developing a homestead.. I guarantee this is worth it!
