This video too had a great impact on me.  As an off grid dweller, conservation of watts from my solar powered system is important. The video taught me to look for ways to heat the person, not the room, which was vital during an ice storm one year when I had no water or electricity because the solar panels iced up.  I implemented these ideas by:

* Moving a small table in front my heated RMH bench.  I was on the bench to sleep, eat, read, work a jigsaw puzzle, start seeds, and do computer work on my laptop, which I recharged with a small portable solar panel.

* I constructed radiant heaters with clay pots, rocks and candles and placed them near me when I had to be in the room where the RMH was not i.e. the loo!
