Adding turmeric, with a dash of black pepper can help quite a bit, with the inflammation. Gently massaging some arnica & St John's Wort oil into it can help ease the pain of flare-ups, too. Massaging the muscles in both the top & bottom of the forearm, as well as the bicep & triceps can relax the muscles and take some of the tension off the joint, as well. I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, so my joints are all whacked out, and it caused early offset of osteoarthritis, and frequent
boots of tendons, in many of my joints. I've found that gentle movements, in every direction you can possibly move each joint, combined with the oil & massage have worked wonders. When I use the turmeric/ black pepper, it's usually at night, in the form of golden
milk, with a little
honey, to balance the bitterness inherent in the turmeric. It has the added benefits of a mild sleep aid, as well as tummy calming.
