I have a weirdness going on with my elbow joint.

Once upon a long time  ago I started using Glucosamine for general arthritic pains. It works well, by the way.

A few months back, we ran out and didn't get more for a while. Reasons. Over time, my elbow began to click. This click is may be located in, or near, the tendons. It feels like maybe the tendon is stuck on something. This click progressed to difficulty in bending the elbow. Much pain was involved. I would assist the bending of my left elbow, gently forcing it to bend with the assistance of my other arm. The tendon felt like it was slipping over something then snapping into place.

Knowing that Glucosamine is good for joints, when able, I got more of it. The problem went completely away. Fast forward, I once again ran out. Ahem. A month later I got more. Have had it a week, but my elbow started the click again yesterday.

I  am sure that as my body utilizes the Glucosamine this click will once again go away. However, I clearly have a problem. What exercise, or something else might be done to fix the original problem?

What you are describing sounds similar to a condition I got once upon a time.

It was called "tennis elbow".  

Mayo Clinic said, "Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) is a painful condition that occurs when tendons in your elbow are overloaded, usually by repetitive motions of the wrist and arm.



That happened before I ever heard of Glucosamine.  I figure that was what you needed though so I am glad it worked.

Adding turmeric, with a dash of black pepper can help quite a bit, with the inflammation. Gently massaging some arnica & St John's Wort oil into it can help ease the pain of flare-ups, too. Massaging the muscles in both the top & bottom of the forearm, as well as the bicep & triceps can relax the muscles and take some of the tension off the joint, as well. I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, so my joints are all whacked out, and it caused early offset of osteoarthritis, and frequent boots of tendons, in many of my joints. I've found that gentle movements, in every direction you can possibly move each joint, combined with  the oil & massage have worked wonders. When I use the turmeric/ black pepper, it's usually at night, in the form of golden milk, with a little honey, to balance the bitterness inherent in the turmeric. It has the added benefits of a mild sleep aid, as well as tummy calming.

It might be worth looking into Solomon's Seal root tincture. It seems to provide some immediate as well as longer lasting effects that can help the healing process, specifically for joints/tendons etc. I've used it several times with good results, and have a couple family members who have tried it and said the same, for various reasons.
