I would like to help out my state permaculture institute to reach more people. After talking with a member of the Board of Directors and talking about how Permies is a awesome place. I volunteered to help get the word out. My questions are:

How can I do this without making headaches for the staff?

What things should I avoid doing? (I think there maybe a wiki on this but I can not remember.)

Thanks!

put them in the correct forums

put pdcs here https://permies.com/f/174/permaculture-design

put workshoops here https://permies.com/f/175/

Maybe for each, add a region forum.

You would be wise to make them media rich.

this might also help:

https://permies.com/advertising/
https://permies.com/wiki/27826/advertising-free-free-permies

The readers here don't respond well to things that look like spam (links with no content, the same post over and over again... ).  But they do respond well to one media (pictures, videos, whatever) rich thread.  Put a link to that thread in your signature (as well as to the site).  When you answer questions, write posts people like, that sort of thing, people will see the links in the signature and check it out.

You can also bump the thread with updates (about once a week seems ideal) and more photos and the like.

Nice.  Love those guys.  If you make them a nice thread, bring it to my attention!
