In my previous post, I mentioned traveling to Vernal, Utah. On our way there, we stopped here. This is a place called Flaming Gorge. It's stunningly beautiful. If you look closely at the picture, you can see Magpie in the foreground. We loved this place (as well as the rest of Utah) and would go back again. I get goosebumps just looking at this picture.

great pic! incredibly rugged and wild. its nice to see places that humans haven't totally infested yet..

The Flaming Gorge Nat'l Rec. Area is largely a summertime &/or weekend activity place. We were there in late Sept. and on a weekday. Consequently...we felt very alone! It was marvelous! Many of the places we've visited in Utah are easy to get away from people and we have a tendency to go during the off season, so that makes it even easier.

I remember before the flying monkeys became such an invasive species. We had tiny ads then.
