Hello there!
I would like to build a cob home in Yavapai County Arizona. Building Codes are pretty strict here and it looks like I'm going to need an Architect to design my plans and then a Structural Engineer to sign off on them. Does anyone have an idea of where to begin on this project? I have a floorplan

Welcome to the forum.

This thread from 2013 has some interesting information about the codes and building inspectors.  There is also a link to  a firm to do the engineering:

I hope others will speak up and that the information is still valid and helpful.

Sarah,

Make sure that you need both: an architect and a structural engineer or just the engineer. I only needed the latter. If you find a good one (mine is from Europe and understands the masonry) then he would help you make adjustments to your plans that you would prepare yourself.
