Fruit and nut trees that thrive in Michigan, 6b

Looking for suggestions for fruit and nut trees that require no pesticides or fungicide spray, for the southern Lake Michigan shore area (6b). Smaller varieties for a city lot preferred, and types that can handle sandy soil.

Pawpaws!  Only pests are the mammalian kind.

I also grow sour cherries free of chemicals, but do need to hand-cull for plum curculio.

For berries, redcurrants are nearly pest-free.  Sometimes aphids, but not enough to do real damage.

Also in Michigan. Local farmers tell me Red Haven Peaches grow well without spraying. Collecting seeds now to try.

Mulberries and persimmons should do well too.
