Hey Permies - glad to be here!

So on the cusp of 50yrs of age I'm just beginning to work out a new enterprise which will involve a CSA/Market Garden hewn from scratch from a 5-acre wooded lot in Southern Tier NY. So far I have cut and somewhat cleared about a half acre of dead Ash which is opening into a very nice little clearing which will serve as the first gardening area, and I hope to have another half acre to acre cleared and prepped for the spring to hit the ground running - pun intended - for a productive growing season next year (epic amounts of compost and leaf mold will be in the works soon too). This will provide plenty of space to make lots of mistakes, which will lead me here to implore the knowledgeable Permies community for advice, because screw-ups on my part will doubtless abound.

There are a couple questions right off the bat (the biggest relates to a small building I had put up that is apparently too big to erect without permitting...rookie mistake and I'm a bit worried about it...), but for now I'll leave this as a general intro.

Thanks everyone, Happy Homesteading (and everything else)!
