Hey everyone! I'm in the process of designing custom packaging for my small business, and I'm looking for some creative ideas. I want something that will stand out and leave a lasting impression on my customers. Any suggestions or tips on how to make my packaging pop? Thanks in advance for your help!
I'd say it depends on what you are marketing and to who. I'd not use the same ideas for big square things full of metal items for men that will ship long distances as big square things full of fabric items for women that are bought locally. Totally different markets, different packaging.
And do you ship in them, are you looking for first impression "oh cute, it's wrapped in hand printed paper!" or long term use "This came in a cool wooden box I keep it in"

How big of a package are we talking? When we attend a festival and are selling jewelry we have used chinese take out boxes. Paper round soup packaging bought from a resuraunt take out store. both white and can easily be stamped with our logo.
Our inability to change everything should not stop us from changing what we can.
Robert brings up a great point about how big is the package.
Also what is being shipped might dictate how to make a package really pop.
I get tickled every year when I receive the new calendar for that year.
The folks I buy them from get really creative with their wrappers.
I found these videos that have some great ideas:
