An M18 red tool portable milking machine

It is Aras here. A brown guy who is a digital fabricator living off-grid up in Canada mostly because my partner Anastasia is a farmer. She practices regenerative agriculture and does rotational grazing. Today I got her the perfect gift which I think some of you would appreciate. I made a video about it. Let me know what your thoughts are. Would you use this milking machine?

Thanks Douglas! I just bench tested everything first and then designed this in Rhino3D and built it over the course of last week. If all goes well, I will make a video of it in action next month after hopefully our cow has her calf. I am happy to post details of this build if people are interested. It uses an existing plug-in milking machine and just converts it to a more quiet and portable version

I was just messin' with you.

I grew up on a dairy farm, and a newborn calf has suction like you can't imagine. Like, wow.

But it also has to be the equivalent of suck and breathe. That's what milking machines do. So there's a rhythm that's not so simple to achieve.

Also, I'm not clear if the Goat Union has signed off on this?

Ooh cool! I don’t know much about milking machines but I’m always up for an equipment tear down.

I should probably make a thread for the sewing machine I converted to use a makita 12V battery. I’m planning to add usb-c as a power source and it’s probably time it got a clean up inside anyway.

As someone who one day hopes to have all the skills in tinkering... I'd love an more in depth breakdown if you ever have the time to share.
