Hi folks.

Every year this is a problem, but this year it seems to be worse. The wasps are eating my raspberries. Any suggestions on keeping the wasps at bay?

I was thinking perhaps of planting mint nearby since rumour has it, the wasps don't like the smell. Anyone tried this?

Do you just want to repel them? Or is killing them Okay?

Killing is fine but optional. I don't mind having a few wasps around cause they eat the grass hoppers. The main priority is I want to eat the raspberries.

Hi Tim,
I have never tried mint. I also know that a lot of wasps will hunt for bugs for themselves or their young. I would suggest trying the mint, but more for the flowers. Planting a bigger variety of flowering plants should bring in more bugs, and possibly distract from your raspberries. More bugs flying around, more food for them to eat that is not raspberries.
