I have not tried this yet, will it work?

Just dim the lights, sit back, and enjoy 10-15 minutes of quiet contemplation, and you’ll find that your memory of the facts you have just learnt is far better than if you had attempted to use that moment more productively.

Anne: that's a classic study technique. Read what you are supposed to be learning, then sit quietly and integrate it into everything else you already know. Think about how it relates to various other things you already know.

I have always considered it putting information into file folders of my mind. We all tend to dump papers into file cabinet of our brains then are surprised when we can't find the piece we want.

Brains are associative in a lot of factors, and hooking information into all of the associations is very useful.
