Many of you may be aware of Edible Acres while many may not, depending on where you may be in your permaculture journey.

In a nutshell, they operate a permaculture nursery and food forest research + growing space in New York, zone 5b, as well as document + share their notes via YouTube around anything and everything that occurs in that space.

*I linked a couple of key posts on this forum about Edible Acres down below, for those who wish to find out more about them

With the extremely quick intro laid out...

They recently (within the past year anyway...) posted a video series discussing what a "permaculture nursery" can look like and outlines the key components.

The series has nearly 20,000 views as of posting this (Sep 2024).
I personally think so many more fellow permies and to-be-permies can benefit from this series, regardless of the scale.
Noticing that this particular series is not shared on Permies, I felt compelled to humbly do so:

I hope this series is helpful in your journey.

Part 1 - Overview and Integration

Part 2 - Tools, Techniques and more

Part 3 - In Depth Propagation

Part 4 - TBD

Part 3 (In Depth Propagation) is now posted!
THANK YOU to Sean and the Edible Acres family for taking their invaluable time to create this series.

*I updated the original post with the link as well, for quicker/cleaner viewing.
It is currently under review by the staff and hopefully will be approved.

Definitely someone I look up to, Sean and Sasha did some consulting for me to help with the start of our permaculture nursery. Our layout is a little more structured as it’s just my nature but the techniques are all basically the same and someone just starting out could learn a lot from watching their videos.

I've learned and put into practice so much from their videos, from huge, paradigm shifting concepts to little life hacks that made stuff so much easier.  I've also bought plant material from them over the years and just about everything is thriving.  Even if you're not looking to start a full-scale nursery as a business, there's still so much great info about propagating for yourself/ friends/ community in the videos linked above (and their channel, oh my lordt their channel).  I know I'm gushing but I love these guys and am so thankful that, in a world that's increasingly paywalled, they put so much knowledge out there for free.

Could you hold this puppy for a sec? I need to adjust this tiny ad:
