Jackrabbit is Ray Cirino's Permaculture Oasis in California's Owens Valley, where the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains step down into the Mojave Desert. It's a stark landscape but beautiful and far from empty. Today we are visiting the local building supply store to get sand and clay for Ray's cob house. Some people come here for the prices (free) but I come for the selection. I love the colors. The neighborhood is nice too.
