Hi everyone!  Long time no activity!  I would like to know if there are others in Nevada.  I was going to buy property in NM but my brother is retiring in Nevada and I want to be closer to him.  He was going to try and get property on Lake Tahoe but it's too much so he'll be trying to be close.  I'll have to find a place much cheaper and want to grow produce.

I'd like to hook up with other like minded people in western NV.

I'm in Pahrump.  It's a good place as far as the culture for what you want to do.  But it is desert and not the easiest.

Gardnerville, NV... near Tahoe and Carson City.  Cheapest dirt here would be Topaz Ranch Estates or TRE.  Fallon,  Dayton... All areas where land is reasonable.

There were two permaculture ranches for sale this fall between Reno and Battle Mountian.  If there are enough of us to make these communities happen, we could have more than we individually could create on our own 10 acre raw land plots.

I'd be very interested in moving to the Southwest from Florida. Land here is just ridiculous if you're allowed to build and farm on it. I can't afford to build a proper house here but you're not even allowed to build a dirt hut on the $12,000/acre land. For actual real estate, you'll see 5 acres for $650,000.
