Not yet, difficult to grow without lots of water, but I've attended a class on how to make paper like the ancient Egyptians did.
Made into narrow strips and dried, I can see it making a good candidate for weaving/twining basketry and mats

I haven't done anything with it, but I was given two clumps of it from a friend a couple of years ago.

I planted one next to my son's pond, but it got burned in the fire and I think we lost it.

The other I gave to my neighbour to plant over their new reed bed system which they didn't have any reeds for. It seems very happy there and is growing like crazy. They keep having to remove loads of it, so I guess a project involving it should be added to the to-do list...
