Many of you have probably seen the alcohol survival stove or ultralight alcohol stoves for backpacking on the internet. Their made with two aluminum cans. I go one step farther when I make them and polish the concave surface of the bottom can. With that I can start a fire with the polished concave surface.

I hiked the entire Appalachian Trail using an alcohol stove. I have to say, I like the smart thinking of polishing up one side for a bonus survival tool. I may have to do an update to my article on this topic elsewhere to include that tip. Assuming you don't mind my using your idea that is?
I actually saw it somewhere else where someone used chocolate and their finger to polish a can to start a fire, so it's really not my idea other than using it for the bottom of the stove. By all means share.
