These look a lot like a petunia variety. There are bush type and annual type petunias I think, but I'd check for what the native petunias to your area are if you can. It could be something completely different too.
Second look, no I don't think they're petunias. I didn't notice the bottom two long petals.
What size are the flowers/plant we are looking at?
Mostly based on assumed size, bloom time, and color I'm guessing monkshood? I don't think it is but I can't really see details on the flower to be sure. But if it is be careful as touching it enough is toxic.
Unfortunately I don't know anything else about the plant (size, leaves, etc.)
I didn't get to see the plant in person. I'm merely posting the pics that someone else took.
When I get a chance to talk to the photographer I'll try to gather more info.
