Question: Let's say you are a permaculture designer or someone who wants to learn permaculture and you aren't allergic to using digital technology. Would it be valuable to you to have:

Design
a) A model of the site to show your clients that includes:
- Contour
- Water flow
- Sun mapping
- Plant selection
- Buildings
- All the things

b) Easy to use software for creating the designs on your computer.
c) Online software with a subscription.
d) A service where you provide the info and someone else does the work.

Interface
What type of interface would you prefer?

1) 3D and or VR
2) Isometric perspective
3) Top down
4) All of the above

What other features would you enjoy?

I am aware that there are other software tools out there. If you already use one or more, stand alone or in combination, what do you use? What are some of the limitations that frustrate you? What features make you happy? What features are missing?

Why would you NOT use something like this? OR what would limit your ability to use it?

- Cost
- Tech limitations like GPU
- What else?

I know this is a lot to consider/ask. Your time is greatly appreciated.

Observation is one of the first principles of permaculture.  That is hard to do with digital technology.

Technology has it place if folks use it along with the principle of permaculture.

Can these be applied to digital technology?

12 principles:

Observe and interact
Catch and store energy
Obtain a yield
Apply self-regulation and accept feedback
Use and value renewable resources and services
Produce no waste
Design from Patterns to Details
Integrate rather than segregate
Use small and slow solutions
Use and value diversity
Use Edges and value the marginal
Creatively use and respond to change

Acetylsalicylic acid is aspirin. This could be handy too:
