In the past I used to make rejuvelac, a sort of "health" drink where sprouted grains are put in jars of water and fermented for a few days, and the grains discarded and composted/given to birds. I remember the surprise when, after some time of absence, I came back to the garden and seeing these plants that I could not remember I had planted: the rye had grown a meter high
