In that I conduct weekly training classes in gardening, I feel that simple visuals can be a great help to get a message across. When I began teaching I quickly discovered that not everyone thinks by the same process nor learns by the same methods....and words are all to often misinterpreted. So a great visual such as this one can help certain students understand how it is possible to have two seemingly different viewpoints based upon one set of facts. People often understand visuals better than spoken words. Thus if a simple visual helps a student "get it", then as far as I'm concerned, it's not meaningless drivel. But of course, it all depends........depends upon how one thinks and learns.....depends upon the situation where the visual is being presented. If one gets nothing new from the visual, then I suppose it's just meaningless drivel.
