I've been interested in websites that have content concerned with the re-use or adaptation of components, old machinery, and salvaged materials to make things of use on a homestead or small farm. In other words, illustrations, description, or complete how-to articles (or videos) showing how ingenuity, design and skills can be combined to fabricate things useful on homesteads or small farms. (Not art or decorative.)

Hi, John. Thanks for the heads-up. I've corrected that link (took out the stuff after the .org). But, the site seems to be down today. I finally got a message saying it was temporarily inaccessible. I'd like to think that's accurate, not a permanent situation. Hope that site will be accessible again - soon.

This site is abit of a gold mine, in my opinion.

Given that it's a Pinterest board, undoubtedly the guy will be adding other good stuff to it over time. But to be able to scroll through and to see anything much, you have to have register for Pinterest (doesn't mean you have to start a Pinterest board if you don't want to).

The way Pinterest works is that, on a board like the one I've given the address for, you see an image and a brief description. So then if you want to go to the original article, thread, or post you get there by clicking on the image then clicking on "Visit Site".

Here's a really intriguing & rich site.  This is about community-scale development of practical farm technology.

Somewhat similar to Open Source Ecology (Marcin Jakubowski's site) http://opensourceecology.org/marcin-jakubowski/
But it's different in this way:  Marcin is a creative engineer, coming at things in an engineer and fabricator's way.  The other site is by farmers who know what they need and how it has to work.

The catch, for many people here on Permies.com, is the site is in French.  However, it is easy to locate free-of-cost French-to-English translation online.  You can translate any page with a copy and paste method, passage by passage.  Believe me, this site is chock full of illustrations, plans, how-to directions.  Check it out if you're shop-handy and serious about farming or market gardening.  The site's name means "peasants' workshop".  Explore the site and scroll through.
