Cruising the internet, I found 2 Craig's List entries from Trout Creek...not far from Missoula.
This farm has pastured pork, plus is selling off some Mangalitsa pigs.
The Mangalitsa is an old heritage breed from Hungary...very sought after by chefs.

Anybody interested, see:

Oh, cool!  I wish we were set up for pigs.  Don't have enough to feed them around here yet.

You've visited Farm to Market Pork too, right?

No.

I just saw the Craig's List posts, and thought that somebody in the vicinity might be interested.

For anybody interested in the breeds history + general info, this stub has a good beginning:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mangalica

They are perhaps the most winter hardy breed...often rearing their young on snow covered pastures.

I contacted the seller.  Boars: $500.  Piglets: $300.  Oh how I wish I were prepared for them!

Just met a homesteader who is raising these.  They are amazing animals and it tastes so much better than any other pork I've ever had before! It is a high-fat pig and withstands high temperatures and long cooking.  It matures more slowly but is well worth it--and fetches $18/lb. for most of the countryside, more in the city.

And it is endangered

I'll post more soon--their homestead is friendstofood.
