At 9:00 minutes into this video there's something that I just thought was so simple it is genius. It's basically a sink on top of a toilet so your hand-washing water drains to the toilet as it fills.

I have seen those and love the idea.

While in Berlin I visited a permaculture garden and restaurant and they had one in the toilet.  I am considering putting one in my guest bathroom.
