Hello permies!

My family recently purchased 8 acres of former farmland. It has been used for grazing but has been only mowed for hay since 2002. We are ready to jump in and start transforming the land to a multi family permaculture homestead. We purchased an old RV and plan to move to the land in early March. There is a large homeschooling community in the area, the land is in a mostly rural sector with most lots 10+ acres but also only about 4 miles outside of downtown. The closest cities are Charles Town WV and Frederick MD. Zone 6b.

Please reach out if you have any questions or are interested in joining us!

Sarah

Wonderful seeing posts like this! We wish you all the best of luck on your journey. We have been RVers since May, currently in Ky. Looking for a place to contribute labor with people who share similar ideas and goals.  We have checked out many communities, seems too many of them are too worried about potential folks having youg children (ours will be 4 and 5 this month) so most do not give families with young children a second look, sad, really, we want this so bad, but just seem to hit continuous roadblocks due to having toddlers. It is nice to see someone doing what we are dreaming of and with youngsters also , sure, things will be hard at first, but it only takes a year to grow enough to last through the winter, with the right "ooomph" and determination Hope you all have success and I posted on your blog, just to keep in touch Anthony , Ashley, Ana and Alex
