I have a number of bats in my eaves and attic.  They have been there for about three years. Last year we resided our house and it was quite a mess.  I would like that move them to a bat house but have no idea how.  Has anyone had experience with this?

The best resource for bat information is Bat Conservation International.  Here's a link to a page about excluding bats from buildings:  http://www.batcon.org/resources/for-specific-issues/bats-in-buildings

Scroll to the last post, the rest is nonsense.

Tyler's information is much more relevant, no doubt.

Good luck with yours.

The info from Tylers link is pretty much what I was going to say.

Set up bat houses in the bat's flight path ahead of time, then quickly add barrier/deterrents to where the bats normally roost while they are out flying about.

I think this webpage has pretty good step by step instructions. https://www.bobvila.com/articles/how-to-get-rid-of-bats/

A big thing to take note of is that you're not going to be able to keep the bats out unless you do a very good job sealing your home. The openings the can travel through are so small, it's almost as difficult as getting perfect insulation on a home.
