Learn Organic Gardening at GrowingYourGreens is an organic gardening channel, and it is good for those just beginning to get move away from convential/industrial agriculture and want to start onto the path of growing their own food in a gentler manner that is more respectful of the earth.
John Koehler does an amazing job of sharing a broad range of knowledge and advice about organic, beyond organic, and even permaculture on his channel! His channel is very friendly to those just getting into gardening, switching to organic, and maybe just starting their journey into permaculture. His excited nature and teh fantastic tours he does of other people's properties helps to inspire those who wish to begin their own journey.
I appreciate John Koehler for creating content that is welcoming to beginners and experts alike but I have a hard time staying engaged with his videos. There are videos that are not the most Permie oriented with the use of plastics and some gimmicky products so that is reflected in my review. With much of his content based in tropical Hawaii, perhaps folks who have a similar growing environment would find him a better fit than my New England climate.
This is one of the first YouTubers that caught my eye. He does have some good content, but to be honest, he just talks to much for me. I found myself loosing interest, or fast forwarding.
There's no one size fits all. So I tend to enjoy people who practice a permaculture way of growing, grow in a climate similar to mine, and are fun and interesting without taking to long to deliver their messages.
