Round Wood Woodworking.
As your roundwood construction skills are improving, it's time to make things that are elegant. Maybe you've gotten sick of eating your soup out of the pot. Let's make a wooden bowl!
And here's a gentleman making just what we're looking for:
Minimum requirements:
- Hand tools only
- Make a bowl
- At least 6" wide on the inside
- Grain is parallel to the table it sits on (not a disk cut from a log)
- Center of bowl is at least 2" lower than the rim
- Generally recognizable as a bowl to random strangers
- Very smooth on the inside
- Smooth on the outside
- Finished with an organic food grade oil
Provide proof of the following as pictures or
video (<2 min):
- Log chunk you're starting with
- Blank roughed out
- Midway through making the bowl with your hand tools
- Applying oil (show oil is organic)
- Finished bowl showing required measurements
