Sitting bench - PEM BB dimensional.wood.sittingbench

This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

We've done some basic carpentry so far and now it's time to bump it up a notch.  Sitting on the ground while admiring the garden is fine but let's build a bench to sit on!

 
 

Here's a gentleman showing us one way to do it:


Minimum requirements:
  - Make a nice bench for sitting
  - Has a back rest and arm rests
  - This is fine wood working, no construction lumber
  - If for exterior use, use a rot resistant wood
  - If for interior use, use a homemade natural finish

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The lumber you're going to use for this project
  - Midway through the construction process
  - Completed bench
