I was not sure what the complaint was? I hope in my experiences I can speak "of" religious persons of the clothe and professed because that was apart of my life expeiences. It would be a shame if I could not!

Looking at the post, it was the discussion of politics outside of cider press. A quick mention is usually fine, but getting into conspiracies can quickly derail a thread and can soon turn nasty. We've sadly seen that happen so many times . We try hard to keep things nice and focused on the good we can do and share with one another!

I'm a Christian, too. And mentions of religion is fine as long as it's not turning into a debate or trying to convert someone else. And, since you're talking about your experiences in your own thread, I think it's just fine. If someone were to start preaching in a thread about garden beds, that might be a problem. But, your posts make sense in their context. No worries there!!!

Basically, if it's something that would get a family in a quarrel over Thanksgiving dinner, it should be in the Cider Press. If it's you sharing your experiences, that's perfectly fine

Thank you for your speedy and explicit reply! I've eliminated the politics on one thread and your advice about Thanksgiving dinner with the relatives is GREAT! Shall think of that often when I touch upon such delicious matters! (Heee!)

There are a lot of Christians on this site, and for the most part we can share our experiences quite well. It takes a little while to get used to what is allowed, and what is not.

Edited to say: I often employ something Dave Ramsey said about all his interviews on secular television. A Christian financial adviser, he is often asked about financial matters and says he quotes the bible almost exclusively in his interviews, but just does not say, "You can find that in such a book and verse in the bible". By leaving out the reference, the secular television stations put his interview on television, something they would not allow if he cited where it stemmed from.

I do the same thing all the time. Once while talking about "when poo hits the fan" and survival situations, I made a post that got about 15 apples. Almost all of it was taken directly from Daniel, Isiah and Revelations.
