Net Zero homes are so fascinating to me. They are becoming more and more a reality. Net zero retro fits use existing housing stock (which means less waste!!). They can use lots of elements from other forums, such as rocket mass and passive solar,  but there's some holes (pun intended) in those forums that just make them not entirely the right venue.

For instance, I am attempting a zero energy retrofit on my home and I am trying to figure out what is the best option for improving the building envelope. Can I wall over an existing, painted wall without demo? What material could I use?   I couldn't decide which forum would work and found myself searching other sites (*gasp*).

Additionally, net zero is a nice buzz word, like zero waste,  which people interested in that nerdy subject will search for.
