Two small fences to deter deer

Has anyone here tried erecting two fences about 3 feet apart to prevent deer from jumping into your gardens? I read that deer can easily do the high jump but the broad jump not so much and if you put another fence inside the outside fence it confuses them and they won't jump it so the height does not have to be high maybe 4 foot would be good?

Yes, I installed two fences, one 5 feet high, the other less than 4 feet high, about four feet apart, and so far this is working very well.
