I reckon it's time to introduce myself. I'm a homesteader and author, and consequently I do a lot of research on homesteading, self-reliance, self-sufficiency, sustainable livestock keeping, permaculture, alternative energy, regenerative farming, etc. I can't tell you how many times my searches have led me here, to the Permies Forum where I've gleaned wonderful, real-life information. Recently, I discovered your writing forum, so I knew it was time to join! I joined the Authors Guild last year, but to be honest, those folks seem like they're on another planet.

About me: my husband and I bought five acres in the southeastern US ten years ago and are slowly working toward the greatest degree of self-reliance we are able. Current critters are Kinder goats, Australorp chickens, Muscovy ducks, and four cats. Current projects include putting my freezer and fridge on solar power, and digging a root cellar. The gardens, pasture improvement, and fence maintenance are ongoing!

I recognize some of you from my blogging community, and I'm delighted to meet more of you through this forum.
