So, my greenhouse is coming right along, and I'm considering how I can share it with my chooks.
They wont be living in it, but they will be visiting.
Ravenous beast that they are, I am planning a barrier of some sort between them and the plants.
Since I'm aiming to have deep plant shelves next to the glass,  I was thinking a curtain  style barrier would offer ease of access for me.
But what should I use?

I have used clear vinyl shower curtains outdoors in the past, and they last many seasons, indoors they should last indefinitely.
If I use one layer next between the glass and the plants and a second  between the plants and the rest of the space, I would be getting double glazing, for a better effect.
I could take them down in the summer, and  replace with something for shade , if I want.

If I want air exchange between the plants and the rest of the space, I could use window screen.

So the question is,would either of these hold up against chickens?
Would they peck at the plastic  enough to pierce it?
Would they scratch at a vertical surface?

The  vinyl is thick, more than 6 mil.
The window screen varies, for a little more money, you can buy pet resistant screen, that is much tougher.

Right now I'm thinking some combination of shower curtains and maybe some of the plastic poultry netting.
I wouldn't use plastic poultry netting to protect chickens as they sleep, but I think it would keep them out of my plants.
Metal mesh just isn't suitable as a curtain, though it make a nice sliding panel.
I like the curtain idea, 'cause I can  just stuff them in a mesh bag for storage.
If I  wasn't wanting to grow climbing plants, individual bells would be another solution,
I might add them anyway, for yet another layer of glazing, but in the form of water walls, again, easy to store.

What I have been using is one of the trampoline safety nets. You can get them off of ebay really pretty inexpensively. It not only works to keep the chickens out of my beds in the greenhouse but it can double as a shade cloth in the greenhouse. Depending on the maker they have grommets or snap hooks  along a finished edge for hanging. You'll have to cut the circle at some point to open it up. There is a zippered access in the panel and with planning its placement can give you an opening in a often accessed location. I have short sections that I use on raised beds as well.
