Hi all,

how, if at all, can a living fence be designed
to stop a dedicated brown bear that really wants
to get to the other side?

Any help is appreciated, if it is not possible
a good hint on how to construct a non-living fence
that does the job is also appreciated.

PS: I was really unsure in which forum to post it, i really hope this is the right place.

Well, if a bear wants to go to the other side, I guess if you plant a nice food hedge, full of berries ripe the whole year, his will to live may return. Put some beehive in there as well, they love honey

And then, when the will to live is back, thorny and dense may work to prevent him from going to your place after a dozen years, but Im not sure of that (Poncirus, Gleditsia). Research "hedge laying"

Edit: usually electric fences are built against bears.
