FWIW...
I had a cold every year of my life (sometimes two or three!) until I went on the Atkins diet, during the duration of the diet I had my first break from seasonal misery winter, and fall, until I fell back into the family eating pattern, where its bulk, over quality. ( I assume gluten load was the trigger!)
Then I went back to my wicked ways of enjoying what I eat, (sugar, and grease!), and Voilà, the seasonal cold returned with a vengeance.
Of course I got fat! (I tell folk I'm chubby and remarkably rotund in addition!) and  attendant to that, I was blessed with apnea! but.......

After getting a CPAP the colds stopped.

Remarkably I can go to bed with all the symptoms of an oncoming cold, (sore throat, swollen glands, snotty nose,) and they're clear by morning, so far this is the second year since diagnosis and its stayed true through both a warm, and a miserable winter.
Anyone else notice the same?

I find many things impact my health. Certainly diet is one of those things.

Should have posted this before I just posted my "Omnivore?" thread. This is a prime example of the way different people's bodies are so different. I have never been anywhere near an Atkins diet, and I go years between seasonal colds. On the other hand, although my family mostly live in the Pacific Northwest, I just can't bring myself to go back there -- eight months of the year with nothing on my mind except longing for summer to come back was not good for my mental health.

I think the real observation here is that each of us are affected by different things.

He loves you so much! And I'm baking the cake! I'm going to put this tiny ad in the cake:
