Hi Rebecca! Welcome to permies! To ask about a staff notice, just make a thread like this here in Tinkering with the Site!

I went and moved your post out of contact us, contact paul, contact staff to it's own thread.

What was your question? How can we help?

I'd prefer to not have a grievance announced on an open thread. So look at my messages from staff to me about policy and then look at the reports I sent to staff that were breaking same policy. The discrepancies are my issue and should be held to the same policy. I'm disappointed that my first reply within my first minutes of being apart of permies were handled the way they were however I conformed to immediately notice you were allowing that to happen in very obvious ways. I see they have not been held to the policy in the same way I was and that is hopefully something that will be fixed.

It looks like you got it fixed?

In the name-change message, there should be a link to click that allows people to easily change their name to a real-sounding one.

This is our automated message:

Hi "______________",

We are pleased to have you here with us here on permies. We don't have many rules that you need to worry about, but one that we take very seriously regards the use of proper names. Please take a look at our Naming Policy and adjust your display name to match it.

In particular, your display name must sound like a real name, and must not be obviously fictitious. Initials are OK for the first name but not the last.

Please click here to change your display name.

Thanks!
permies Staff.

It looks like you put in a name-change request in early April, and it was approved that day. Is there something more you need help with?
