Hi there! I'm super happy to have found these forums, and am eager to grow and learn with you all.

My husband and I live in a little farming town called Warrnambool, in Australia, and are working to become as self-sufficient as possible on less than an acre and within city limits. We currently have two cats, a dog, six chickens, a steer calf, and on Saturday we'll be getting a couple of lambs which will be our future milk sheep. We've had bumps along the way, but for the most part, we have a very supportive community around us! We're putting as many permaculture principles in place as we can, and can always learn and do more -- just one step at a time.

Thanks for having me!

Welcome to permies! This is a good place to learn all permaculture and homesteading things.

Looking forward to hearing about your adventures.

Is it winter, or almost,  where you are?

Here we are blessed with a beautiful spring, and all the abundance it brings☺️.

Thanks! And yes, we're heading into winter here :) Thankfully though, our growing season is long with no snow, so we should be able to have fresh veggies from the garden year-round! That being said, I was too late getting into planting last Spring, so I'm very much looking forward to how much we can grow next Spring and Summer :)

"How many licks ..." - I think all of this dog's research starts with these words. Tasty tiny ad:
