My daughter is too short to get a full stroke with the 36" handle. new on is ~$75.00 from simple pumps. I do not want to cut my ~$100.00
36" handle if I do not have to.

Just thinking out loud, for an inexpensive solution:

The long handle may still make the pump easier to operate for your daughter.

Can you just put a bunjy on it, hooked to a ground stake, to keep the pump handle from raising too high for her to reach? You wouldn't get the full stroke, but perhaps enough to do the job.

Haha, good luck with your quest. Given the cost, I assume this is a cast pump handle and you can't carve a chunk of green hardwood to fill the gap.
