Off grid community

We are a married couple in our 40’s, We have a 20 acre homestead located in beautiful Southern Utah with Bryce canyon north of us and Escalante Staircase east of us. Looking to find male partners for the wife. To have a small community working together building a outside the norm lifestyle is our dream. We are hoping to create a "poly family" environment here. You would need your own housing to start with.. travel trailer, camper, RV, Van.. We live in our RV currently while we are building the cabin. There's no electricity so everything is solar or generator. If your wanting a long term place to call home, a sense of belonging, not afraid of hard work, a love of nature and you want to become part of a "poly family". If you’d like to get off the treadmill or out of the matrix for a while and live in a rural but gorgeous area with endless places to hike, 4x4 and explore then you've found the right place.

I am intrigued as you sound kin to me?  I am 41..living off grid myself but in Canada...solar..with bus so I am mobile...are you still into having folks come checkout your homestead for a visit ?  Thanks for reply when you can-ardene

Yes we are still looking for friends. Haven't found anyone yet that wants to actually come check out what we are doing.

Well just an update as to what we are doing. The Cabin/house is done. Unfortunately still no luck on finding any friends that want to come out and see what we are all about. Here is a picture of the roof of our house sticking out of the trees? Thus far the winter this year is absolutely amazing.

Very cool spot. I’m from Maine and headed to the southwest. I have a toy hauler “off grid” ready . I’ve been dying to get back after I visited Arizona . Are the building codes laxed in your area ? I’ve wanted to build a cob/earthship but getting permitted can be a challenge in some areas.

Hey there Christopher,
No one to date has joined us in our venture to live out here. Things are going great and we've been having a blast. We just finished building a barn/garage between and on top of 2 shipping containers. We outfitted an old school bus with a fulltime hot tub for soaking achy bones when needed. Hope all is well in your world.
