Hello Anne, thanks for agreeing to answer some questions for all of us.  This is my scenario - My family is predominately Irish.  My great-great-grandmother had immigrated from County Clare, Ireland just before the Potato Famine.  In our family history, she was very knowledgeable about all the natural cures and medicines that came from nature, or the fairies she was a little funny about the wee folk.  Luckily, she passed this knowledge (in writing) to her daughter and granddaughter. My mother was the youngest of 7 sisters.  Her older sisters had the data that had been passed down but over the years it went missing.  Many members of the family have a problem with mild neuropathy of the feet.  My oldest cousin remembers that his mother had used an old "notebook" to whip up a concoction that worked wonders on the problems that she had with her feet.  One part of it was soaking the feet in a hot tub of water with leaves of rosemary and an "oil" from something else.  The next stage involved putting a poultice, using the oil, in a sock then sleeping with it until the feeling returned in the foot.  I have the foot problem now and was just wondering if you had ever heard of such a technique.  Thanks ever so much.  Jerry

I have had great success combining therapies.  I use a gallon of water and boil  a handful of rosemary I cut it off an unruly bush ].  I put the "tea" in a foot pan  add 1 cup of vinegar 1/2 cup of Epsom salt and wait for it to cool to comfortable but hot temp. Add feet.  Soak till pruny feet... use a new pumice stone to scrub feet.  Next time make tea for continued treatment like athletes foot  boil pumice stone in tea to kill old germs.  Did this every night for a month and my hubbies toenails greenback.  Also a good general foot health soak for diabetics.

For pain, I use 100% natural Magnesuim Bath Flakes. That is how it is sold.  It is not the same as epsom salts as it is a different magnesium, maybe chloride?

You could do the foot bath in a solution with the rosemary.  (Good to know!)

I put mine in a spray bottle 50/50 with water. I spray it on may hand, foot or what is in pain and massage it in.  It works wonders!
