I fried an egg on cast iron. To clean up, I scrubbed with steel wool and rinsed with water, then wiped it down.

“There are no words to express the abyss between isolation and having one ally. It may be conceded to the mathematician that four is twice two. But two is not twice one; two is two thousand times one.”

I'm still working on building up the seasoning in my cast iron, so I went a little heavy on the oil and a little hot on the pre-heat, but it worked out. I'll have to remember to try Paul's salt-the-skillet-before-the-egg trick next time. (When I tried to upload videos, I got the error message 'files with extension .mov are not allowed...', so I took snapshots within the videos, hence all the photos.)

I'd like to be a part of a system that is making the world better for future generations.
I decided to have bacon and eggs for lunch today. I started by cooking a couple slices of bacon, then used the left over grease to cook the egg. To clean up I waited for the pan to cool, scraped out the grease for the compost, gave a quick rinse, and dried it off. This is my first time uploading a video to YouTube, so hopefully it has worked...
