I usually don't do BBs but I am a sharpaholic.  Dulled this $5 Harbor freight hatchet chopping some bamboo stumps out.  So I touched it up...it'll shave now!

Found an old dull axe with many knicks. Sharpened it with a sharpening stone at first, then used an angle grinder to get a razor sharp edge.

This hatchet hasn't been sharpened yet in its lifetime, but it hasn't been used much either. I sharpened it, then took the rust off to make it look pretty again. I took out my macro lens to get some close up photos of the edge.

Here is my submission for the Tool Care - Sand - Sharpen a Hatchet BB.

I used a bench grinder, vertical belt sander, and a whetstone to sharpen and finish the edge then a light coat of linseed oil to protect the tool.
I decided not to try to take a photo while I was using the bench grinder because being distracted while using that tool is too dangerous so it is a still photo.

To document the completion of the BB, I have provided the following:

 - action pic of sharpening
 - another closeup of sharp edge
