This is a Badge Bit (BB) that is part of the PEP Curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Natural Medicine.

For this BB you will create a tincture out of St. John’s Wort blossoms.

Here’s my St. John’s wort tincture. Love how it turns red. I prefer to slightly sun dry my flowers for a day to remove excess moisture prior to tincturing to prolong shelf life.

I was delighted to find St. John's Wort growing on the side of the road on Martha's Vinyard since it doesn't grow wild in my area. I have it home now and have started a tincture.

I will update and submit for the BB once the tincture is complete, but I didn't want to lose the pics in the meantime.
