Shame. He couldn't have safely taken down the tree without my effort. He didn't even know how to take down a tree before I showed him on a tiny one. We're a team, and he's the 'umph' and I'm the everything else when we have to split up. Feels a bit like anyone able-bodied can use a chainsaw, not everyone can plan a safe fall in close quarters. But I guess I get it.

This was the other chainsaw BB I had forgotten. It's so funny. I had done this badge at least a dozen times over and never thought to record it. Silly me!

Note: I'm sorry but the tree needs to be actually dead for this BB to apply.  Different felling techniques sometimes apply to dead/damaged trunks.

I felled another dead tree, this time with a chainsaw. It was big enough to make me nervous. :)

Butt end is 31" and i am going to get 68' of beautiful wood. Can't wait!

a tip is to bring a level with you. mark it out on the tree. helps get an even cut.
