We'll be doing some renovations come winter time and so it seems reasonable to change the lights to something more appropriate of the theme.

The actual fitting that attached it to the roof was starting starting give way and expose the cables. Can't have that...

I’m decorating / renovating / modernising a bedroom with a low ceiling - it’s built into attic space. The existing light fitting is too big for a small room, anyone 5’10” or higher would ding their head on it if they weren’t careful. I decided to replace it with a very low profile unit that also has a nightlight feature.

Existing light

Switch 11 turned off before removing the light

Partially removed to paint ceiling and fill underneath

Light removed and cables straightened

Light mounting plate uses existing fixture and screws. New light wired in using existing wire nuts

Low profile light installed

Light installed and working as planned

Lights on the garage needed updating.  Three in total, one brass one on either side and a motion detector up high.  Replaced them all with motion detectors.  Gonna use these points for the Straw badge.
